Definition and causes


Polyps in the cervix is a udvækst from his mucous membrane. The appearance can be compared with drøblen. Polyps can vary in number, however, are usually only one. Polyps seen primarily in women over 40 years.

Treatment of polyps in the cervix


The treatment of polyps is surgical removal. Less polyps removed under a local anesthetic.

The tissues are sent to study in the microscope, to determine whether there may be malignant cells (cancer) in polyps. However, this is rarely the case.
